Daytime tennis for homeschool students ages 9–18. Tuesdays and Thursdays, starting January 7.
Grey Rock is a City of Austin tennis facility, open to the public.
Homeschool families have their own schedules, so we built a program around them. Homeschool Tennis PE is our Grand Prix junior program during the school day: the same professional coaching, the same structured instruction, and the same pricing, at 1:00 and 2:00 PM.
As we launch, we're keeping groups small so every player gets personal attention while building skills, confidence, and fitness in a fun, encouraging setting. We look forward to welcoming homeschool families to the courts.
Tennis is one of the few sports a kid can start at 9 and still be playing at 70. It builds coordination, footwork, and focus. It's also social: kids learn to rally with someone before they learn to play against them.
We teach using the USTA's development model, with age-appropriate balls and court sizes, so kids get rallying quickly instead of chasing balls around the fence.

The club is closed the first Tuesday of every month for court maintenance. Tuesday pricing already accounts for these closures.
First class: $15, once per player, no commitment. After that, drop-ins are $30 per class for members and non-members. Both are paid in person at the front desk. Drop-ins are space-available, since session players hold their spots first, so call (512) 301-8685 to check for an opening.
Players attending one day per week receive one makeup day; players attending two days per week receive two makeup days. If a class is canceled due to weather or other club-related issues, you'll receive a makeup day or a credit toward a future session or private lesson. We do not offer refunds, only credits.
No commitment. Come to any Tuesday or Thursday class and pay at the front desk. It's once per player, and after that you can sign up for the session or drop in for $30 a class when there's room. Call (512) 301-8685 to make sure there's an opening.
We're not offering those yet, but if there's enough interest, we will. Join the waitlist on the same form, and bring friends. Groups get us there faster.
Part of a co-op or homeschool group? Bring 4 or more kids and we'll host a free intro class for your group here at Grey Rock, at a time we set together, with one of our coaches. Request it on the form and tell us how many kids are coming.
Yes. Your player's first class is $15, with no commitment. After that, drop-ins are $30 per class, or sign up for the session for the best value and a guaranteed spot. First classes and drop-ins are paid at the front desk and depend on space, so call ahead.
Texas homeschool families manage their own curriculum and records. Many families use a program like this as their PE.
That's why the classes are back to back. Your younger one plays at 1:00 and your older one at 2:00, so it's one trip to the courts.
Court shoes, and a hat if they want one. We have water on the courts and free loaner rackets. If your child wants a racket of their own, our junior rackets run $39 to $69 in the pro shop, and enrolled players get 20% off.
Reach out. Placement is up to our coaches, and we'll help find the right fit. You can also look at our after-school Grand Prix program or, for players who compete, PATP & ATP.
An RSPA and USTA certified coach, Marco works with juniors in our Grand Prix and PATP programs and leads Homeschool Tennis PE.
